Hello again, A few weeks ago I posted (in passing as I was discussing something else), this problem:
Original problem (wrongly stated) ... Pasting my html coding from MSWord 2000 into the GeoCities editor results in the "wrong" kind of commas; this is a relatively new problem (so I just type in the "correct" comma, whatever that is, manually). And when you think of the number of quote marks on an html page, that can be a lot of typing (or individual pasting). This comma glitch is a real nuisance. In the editor I'll see the quotes look like two tiny parallel lines slanted when the editor prefers to see those curly quote marks; I can't figure that out It SHOULD have read ... What is more significant is that by experimenting with (using) the <style type="text/css">...</style> tag, the problem disappeared. Hugh will be particularly interested in this as he introduced me to that feature some time ago. I don't know why it works, but it works ...
