I found a free program that does just about what we used to be able to 
do in DOS.  Its called LS - File List Generator and the listing can be 
output in Text, HTML, or CSV.  One thing I like is that it puts the full 
path with each file rather than listing the folder and then the list of 
files as many of the other generators do. Its available from
