Those Cyrix cpu's are rather unreliable, maybe it is working too hot, maybe it's acting up at normal temperature, If I were you, I would try a Pentium MMX or AMD processor instead (you can get one maybe for as low as 15 bucks) If it does not work you have a motherboard problem, best choice is the trashcan.. That system is too old, you can get something much newer and better for a few dollars. best regards Jorge
