Right Thomas... This should be in the PCWorks archives.. I had my home page hijacked, downloaded Adaware and it removed the offending file and I got my home page back.

The portion of SpyBot that is supposed to protect against that, fails to do so because the actions to reset the start page are during the boot process, and takes place before SpyBot can stop it. I had the option set, and kept repeatedly having to reset it anyway. In fact, the only thing it really DOES prevent, is the user from changing the page, and maybe a few low level threats. These trojans in their latest variant, slide right past SPyBot's protection in my experience (at least in the free version).
