In Outlook Express, going to Tools>Options>Connection>Dial-up, one finds a check box saying "Hang up after sending or receiving" . What happens with me is that every once in awhile (maybe after a forced re-boot), that box seems to check itself. I don't want it checked (and I'm the captain of this ship).
