Hello...
I plan on formatting my laptop (Dell Inspiron 2600) this weekend.
I have most files copied to external hard drive..but have some questions....
I have a very large folder in Windows called 'Prefetch'. Is this folder of any
importance?
Is it enough to just use the Dell reinstall CD to reformat and install WindowsXP?
Are any of the Windows updates stored on my hard drive so I do not have to download
them again?
I have a folder called "service pack files/I386"..should this be copied, then run when
the reinstall is
complete?
I will perform the files/settings wizard. To reinstall these, is it pretty cut-dry?
I have all programs, program files and files from "Owner" transferred...might there be
anything I am
missing?
Thank you.
