There is a freeware add on to IE that will search your favorites for you.
Take a look at Favorites Search at  http://www.dzsoft.com/ .  I use it.
Seems to work ok.

In the "Organize Favorites" window, I see no general "find" applet. I do see
where one can "find" names of favorites in individual folders. Don't see a
general "find" for the entire list, and no "find" at all for URL's ...
