Have you done a low level format of the drive? Go to your hard drive vendor
and get their respective low level format utility and run it to clear the
drive to near factory condition.
Then fdisk the drive and format using an MS format utility.
Be sure the entire disk is wiped.
Do you know what virus you did receive?

Hi everyone.
Have a clients computer , Pentium4 2Ghz, 512MB DDR, 40Gb Hard Disk.
Was working fine with XP Pro then got a virus after which it wouldn't load
at all. Reformated C and installed XP again but won't even start to load
windows before freezing. After the second BIOS screen it freezes.
Using a different disk with Win 98 SE it works fine. Replaced disk with
new one and did install of XP , same problem.
I'm stuck so any suggestions welcome!!
Thanks
Bram
