A problem.
Network of three computers, 1-XP PRO 2-Windows98SE
Network has worked fine for over 2 years. Each computer has a static IP address (192.168.0.? ) with subnet 255.255.255.0
A few months ago a high speed cable modem was added to the XP computer. It's a MotorolaSB 4200 with a USB connection.
Worked fine until yesterday. (Not using Internet Connection Sharing ).
Now suddenly couldn't go on line. Found that if I removed the network cable the internet worked, but when I replaced it the internet connection disappeared but the network was OK.
Obvious problem with settings but I can't see that anything changed. Anyone any clues?
