I wouldn't really call that a "courtesy copy" since I'm sure
everyone gets enough email as it is; they don't need dupes.
;-)  If on the other hand I reply to post with needed info and
after X hours the post hasn't shown up, then in those occasions
I'll then send the post personally to the person waiting on a
reply.

Yes, I always send a courtesy copy because I personally like
a courtesy copy since some mailing list mail doesn't arrive
until long after the courtesy copy has made it to my
mailbox.
