I don't know if this can shed some light on what's happening,
but at the command prompt I tried "sc query Ip6FwHlp" and got:

SERVICE_NAME: Ip6FwHlp
        TYPE : 20 WIN32_SHARE_PROCESS
        STATE : 1 STOPPED

(NOT_STOPPABLE,NOT_PAUSABLE,IGNORES_SHUTDOWN)
        WIN32_EXIT_CODE : 1066 (0x42a)
        SERVICE_EXIT_CODE : -2147014849 (0x8007273f)
        CHECKPOINT : 0x0
        WAIT_HINT : 0x0

Searching for 0x8007273f didn't turn up anything of any help.

Thanks, I'll read it but probably won't understand most of it.
I'm not a "networking expert". ;-) I use a DLink DI-704 and
NEVER have to even touch it, it's totally transparent. I set
it up once about 4-5 years ago and that was it.

They have an emulator here:
http://support.dlink.com/techtool/DI704/Emulator/IndexLogon.htm
and I didn't see anything about NAT while I was logged in to
mine. I searched the manual......
ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Gateway/di704/Manual/di704_manual_082201.pdf
for "NAT" and this is what I found:
----------------------
"The DI-704's NAT firewall filters out unrecognized packets to
protect your Intranet, so all hosts behind the DI-704 are
invisible to the outside world. If you wish, you can make some
of them accessible by enabling the Virtual Server Mapping."

"Some applications require multiple connections, like Internet
games, Video conferencing, Internet telephony and so on.
Due to the firewall function, these applications can not work
with a pure NAT router. 'Special Applications' area enables
some of these applications to work with a NAT router. If
Special Applications is still insufficient to allow an
application to function correctly, try DMZ host in the 'Misc
Items' options.

1. Trigger: the outbound port number the application issued
first.

2. Incoming Ports: when the trigger packet is detected, the
inbound packets to the specified port numbers are allowed to
pass the firewall.
The DI-704 provides some predefined settings in the gray pad on
the bottom of the web page.
Choose the Popular application and click Copy to copy the
predefined setting.
Note! At any time, only one PC can use each Special Application
tunnel."
---------------------

I don't know if it's IPV6 friendly.

Clint, this might be of interest to you
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/prodtechnol/winxppro/maintain/teredo.mspx

Or it might not, I know one area of the planet that is very
IPV6 friendly
is Asia and Europe also is picking up speed, and both are over
and above
the level of North America with deployments.

Do you also have a router with NAT running? Is it IPV6 friendly
too?

Keep us updated on this development please.
