There are several ways to do it. First, go to the Spybot folder (where the
executable is) and look for an uninstall program to run (may be unins00.exe)
If it is not there, run first msconfig and uncheck anything related to Spybot
in the startup list. Then either go to the task manager and shut up anything
you see related with Spybot. If you have found nothing, go on. If any
Spybot related exe is still running and you could not stop it, go ahead and
reboot. Then go to c:\program files\Spybot Search and Destroy and DELETE IT.
Then you can go to the register and clean any reference to Spybot you find,
or you can run your favourite reg cleaner.
Another way to wipe any reference left is to run an outboard unisnstaller
(eg: add remove plus from this link: http://www.aurelitec.com/download.htm )
What is happening to you with Spybot is likely to happen again with other programs,
so, anything you learn about removing tough programs is going to be useful
in the near future.

pd: I take for granted that you configured your windows explorer so as you
can see all kinds of files and all the extensioins..

good luck

 Good Morning..
Experiencing another problems today.. (so what's new in computer land!)

I can not remove Spybot from my computer..
When I go into the Control panel.. Add & Remove Programs
.. I click on Spybot.. it only turns the program on.. does not give me an
option of removing .
So then I went into the register.. and tried deleting from there.. to
no avail..

Can someone please help.. as this has gotten beyond annoying.

Thanks again..
