This is my wife's laptop...three computers work fine. My laptop has a wireless connection, but will work with the Ethernet connection. My wife's laptop uses a PC card for the Ethernet and modem connection. The modem connection works, but when connected to the Ethernet, the systray says network connection is unplugged. The workgroup has the same name. I tried removing all the TCP/IP and other stuff and reinstalled it. The lights on the Ethernet cord will light, until I enable the port, then they go out and I can not connect to the Internet... Actually, I just added Netbeui and now the icon on the taskbar is showing as connected, but I still can not connect to websites, or check email. I have Client for MS Network, QOS Paxket scheduler, NETBEui and Internet protocol(TCP/IP) selected... I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any idea what else I can check? Thank you.
