To receive moving parts as in stationery script which I am involved with -
you have to enable active
X settings - located in your Internet Explorer/Tools/Internet
Options/Security/Custom Level - if
you enable there the Active X you will not receive these warnings.  We also
use Medium Security -
have been involved with stationery and scripts for years and that is what we
do.

Always run an updated Norton Virus Scan and have never had any bad luck with
the Active X. receiving

This is using Outlook Express Mail Program.  Hope this helps.  I do not get
any of these warnings -

Like the original poster, I'd like a good explanation of
WHAT it is.  I am now receiving the warning on my eBay
search pages (actually two stinking warnings which I have to
okay). I have my computer set up very tightly, it is
protected with programming, and I am up to date on all
patches. The benign warnings are dang irritating, that's why
I would like to know WHAT activeX is just like the original
poster asked. "Code enhancements" means nothing to me, I'm
not a website developer, I want to use a website without
being warned all the time that they are using the miserable
activeX.  What is it and WHAT does it do?
