Hello again,

An old problem that is getting bothersome: The apostrophes in the geocities
editor (unless I type them in directly) are not being effective in the html
tags. I tried copying/pasting from MSWord using various fonts, tried
copying/pasting from Notepad, and tried the same using 1stPage (Wally,
note;I'm still not using 1stPage as my default editor; still using GC editor;
old habits etc. etc.).

My way of writing a page is to type directly into the GC editor or, using an
old page and MSWord as a template if possible, and making whatever alterations
are necessary, I would then paste the result into the GC editor and voila.
Problem is I'm seeing the wrong type of apostrophes, apostrophes that are not
doing their jobs.

http://www.geocities.com/buddychai/Navigator.html ... might work here, but
...

<a href="http://www.geocities.com/buddychai/Navigator.html";>Navigator</a> or a
link to any outside page (which is mostly found in what I call my "Regular
Pages"), if I were to copy it into the GC editor, would not work.

The apostrophe's that do not work which I see in the GC editor are those
straight slanty apostrophes, the ones that slant at 45-degree angles. It is
only when I type in directly that I get the usual curly apostrophe that we are
most familiar with.

<a href="http://www.geocities.com/buddychai/Navigator.html";>Navigator</a> in
MSWord (which I'm using now) has the curly apostrophes. But when copying this
into a GC editor, they appear as the straight 45-degree angled ones . and
those seem not effective in html tags. I made many of the correction by hand,
pasting into the GC editor the correct apostrophe before each http and after
each html (some hell of a way to spend one's time). Any idea what the problem
might be? ... Harold
