If the latter then you should be aware that this will slow down OE immeasurably. Try to limit message buildup to about 500 messages or less in your inbox and set up multiple boxes for all your mail.
Also clear out your sent folder down to about 500 messages or less at all times. Clear the Deleted items folder regularly as well.
Doing this along with regular compacting of mailboxes with ensure a properly running email client.

I am confused about the practical use of my partitioned hard drive-(my E drive).I have 37.2GB on this drive and I hardly use it for anything but to store some image files. It seems to me it world make more sense for me to put my Outlook Express on this second hard drive, since we like to keep LOTS of our Inbox e-mails and Sent e-mails, rather than deleting them. I am afraid to move Outlook Express to my E drive, in case I screw things up and cause a problem in case it only works on the C drive. I think my computer is slowing down somewhat because of all the e-mails we are keeping, and don't know if moving the Outlook Express will make the computer go a little faster. I would appreciate a little lesson on what files and programs to place on a partioned drive, and if the C drive is the only drive that slows down a computer. Thank you very much for any info. Gail
