Hello again (Wndows 98 and a 4 year old HP Presario),

I know most of my problems are my own doing (from tinkering). But how else
will I learn the doings on this computer. Here's a new one . I looked into my
Misconfig>Startup, and behold, there's nothing listed there. It's blank. What
is even stranger is that there seems to be no apparent change in how the puter
is operating; all seems A-ok.

The only minor problem I'm having is that two of the optional buttons on my
"Standard 101/102 Microsoft Natural Keyboard" do not work after any rebooting.
No big deal; I click two files and it operates again (Keybdmgr and MMKeybd).
And I click them after each rebooting; a minor inconvenience. I wish I knew
how this clicking temporarily fixes it but that's not the immediate concern.

The listings I always had in the msconfig startup (a ton of other stuff I
would have I always got rid of) were as follows:

1. SystemTray . that I thought was required for the clock and other items in
the System Tray.

2. LoadPower Profile (I would check both entries) and I think it is required
if I am using Power Management in the Control Panel.

3. Tweakui .that was always listed and I left it checked.

4. Keyboard Manager . allows for the keyboard buttons to be effective (found
in C:\Program Files\Netropa)

Seems I do not need these listings (for example, System Tray is working fine)
but is there a way to restore them? . Harold
