Due to a frozen Win XP pro while burning CD's a reset caused the usual Chkdsk to run. Hundreds of cross linked and corrupted files were repaired. After the reboot I found my Norton Internet Security program had been completely removed from the computer. System restore will only show a blank page as does Help and Support. My last image was made 2 months ago so I would prefer to try and fix the current setting. Would running Windows Repair from the CD cause any loss of programs and most importantly, the ADSL modem setup? Any support would be appreciated.
