A friend in England sent me AVG about 2 years ago it'ds installed on
the hard dirve, I have desktop icons on the screen for it all the time as well
as a tray icon.
McAfee "installs"/downloads itself when I'm only line and go to the
free McAfee site. When I get rid of my cookies at the end of the night it has
to be reindstalled / dl'd before it can run again.
Now, while I've got you, can a home made music cd contain a virus and
can said virus transport itself to the hard drive just by having the puter
play the cd? I think that's what's happened. The guy I'm prop manager for asked
me to burn him cd's for a battle of the bands we're having next month. Ever
since I copied the songs from the cd's he brought over into a recording
project on Magix, I've been having some REALLY wild stuff going on. Things are
taking FOREVER to happen on the puter.
