There will be a gap if the folder was deleted by someone and 'auto-arrange' is not selected. If there is a deleted folder, check the recycle bin. Why can't your "techie" fix this for you? ;-) I don't understand how you can have a "white space" where a folder once was. If you delete a folder there's not going to be any gap where it was. What kind of folder view layout are you using, thumbnails? I think for thumbnail view there might be a gap. -Clint God Bless Clint Hamilton, Owner http://OrpheusComputing.com ----- Original Message ----- From: <Madrachod@ In a message dated 9/2/2004 9:40:09 AM Eastern Daylight Time, orpheuscomputing.com writes: > How do you know a folder is missing? It's possible it's some kind of virus, but the info I read wasn't very sure. The icon looks kind of like a shredder and a waste basket with an open floppy box next to it. If it keeps getting created, then it's obviously used by some program you have running > (if you're SURE you're clean of malware). I'm STILL running the anti-spy, which I started yesterday at 3:30 p.m. 23 hours later, it still hasn't found anything and is only about halfway through it's job. Also check your Start Up folder for anything that shouldn't be there. I think Ed, my techie, may have already done that Mon., but I'll look again. ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
