The problem may well be with your DVD player. Many will not play VCDs.
What's the make and model of the DVD player?
Send me the pictures if you like. Wiil the discs play in your computer?

I have a problem that I have about given up on. I paid $400 for it, so I
hate
to give up on it without really trying. About two years ago, I gave my
son
a Terapin CD Video Recorder TX-0002 for Christmas, as I thought he might
want
to convert into CD's all the many VCR tapes he has made of my grandchildren
.
He has never found the time to even open the box!!! The other day I asked
if
I could use it. He said that I could have it. So a friend of mine and I
have
spend about eight days trying to hook it up. Nothing has worked. Today, I
really thought we had it. I tried an audio cd, a video cd, and a vcr tape.
Each time that I tried to play it on my DVD/VCR player, I was told that the
cd
was no good or something to that effect.

We feel that our problem is in our hookup. I'm not sure exactly where the
cableIN and Cable OUT goes in each unit. If any of you are familiar with
the
CD Video, I will make a picture of the front and back of my Sony 43 inch
plasma TV, my Terapin CD Video Recorder, and my Sony VCR-DVD Recorder
Player
and send it to you so that you can perhaps tell me where I should put the
cords. I have gotten all my cords mixed up with some I already had, but I
think the ones that came with it were just two with three plugs on each end,
but I do have some with two plugs on each end and some with just one plug. I
also have some short ones that will make a 2-plug end into one.
