Do you still have the wife? For what it's worth, I've never had a brand name computer. I bought my first system from a hobbyist who helped me learn how to add components and I eventually learned how to build my own. IMHO the very best computers come from local builders or are built by the owners. Never had an Intel computer either. Many years ago, I knew my future wife 6 days and then asked her to marry me. Now that I'm interested in upgrading to a new computer after having this one almost 5 years, it might take me 6 years to make a decision.
