I am using Thunderbird as my email client and want to ask if anyone knows how to establish a signature and then use it from their menus.

Open notepad and type your signature and save it wherever is most convenient.
In Thunderbird got to Tools, Account Settings..., highlight your identity and check the box for "Attach this signature:" then browse to the text file you saved before.
