In your filters do you have "sender "is" so and so" or do you have "sender "contains" so and so"?

Try the contains statement if you are not using it.

In my attempts to find a suitable replacement for Outlook Express, I am trying
Thunderbird.
I'm not having much luck with it.
1. It will not use the message filters when I download mail..at least most of
the time. I know they are
set right because if I open the filters window and click run filter, the
messages move from my inbox to
the proper folder.
2. Now, this morning, I keep getting an error it has to close and it won't
check mail..just sits there
until the Windows error comes up for T-bird.exe.
Any ideas before I can this program?
Thanks.
