It's just recently installed (customer's PC) with no updates so it's probably missing something. I figured it needed some kind of an update.
That "sounds" like what I need on that page, but I better wait for a couple more replies to see if anyone knows for sure since I don't want to screw-up this OS ;-) ....that's why I need to install Ghost so I won't have to worry about it, but I can't install Ghost until the .msi file is executed. Didn't Microsoft update the window installation program. Here's a link to windows installer 2.0 but I'm not sure it's what you need and I don't have a windows 98 install any more to test on. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=cebbacd8-c094-4255- b702-de3bb768148f&displaylang=en Ben -----Original Message----- Support-OrpheusComputing.com Does anyone know how to run .msi installer files on WinSE? I was trying to install Ghost from a SystemWorks 2003 CD, and it clearly states in the Ghost Readme file that it will install on '98. Yet, the installer (Ghost.msi) is a generic icon and won't open. Clicking it only opens the "Open with......" dialog box. I tried using "Explorer.exe" to open and that didn't work.
