I am reading a site right now about win2k security with a useful Flash piece from IBM here http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1746412,00.asp with the full application here http://www-306.ibm.com/software/info/middleware/productivity/index.jsp?S_CMP=productivity_portals_banner2 (mind the wrap)

Flash is the most widely installed plugin/control.

I know countless sites that use Flash for education and instruction, it has evolved so far, and is capable of so much more than day one. For example Lighthouse International created applications in Flash to teach others about vision issues, one is here http://www.visionconnection.org/Content/Community/FamilyandFriendsCorner/WhaDoYouDoWhenYouMeetSomeoneWhoCantSee/default.htm?cookie%5Ftest=1 (mind the wrap) or here http://tinyurl.com/3kz35

If you don't have Flash you are liable to miss so much.

There has been much suspicion as to motives of Flash but most have been groundless.

Just my 2 CDN cents worth :)

Dear John,
In other words, there is no real advantage to installing Flash?

Rant: I have yet to see a "legitimate" website on which Flash is used
in a way that contributes anything to the information value of the site.
It seems to appeal to a type of webmaster who is anxious for his site to
appear kewt. Or, to use a very old word, flashy.
