Karl, thanks for the reply. I would be obliged if you could tell me where my 
mailman files
are kept. I was told that it is all scripted and there is no way to export or 
retrieve a
file the members emails are stored in. I've looked all through my website 
files, so if
they are there, they are hidden. I have three email discussion lists.

My questions was a recommendation for a 'different' email discussion script 
that I could
install on my website, instead of mailman.

can sign up for a Mailman discussion list.  There's a link to
FAQs.
