Pete,
On mine, there is a message that pops up 'press any key to boot from CD'. It is 
only there for 2-3 
seconds.

Yes I had setup the bios to boot from the CD but it would
not boot. (even with other bootable CDs)
I have downloaded the startup disk you from below and
now have started the install
