You need some photo cd/dvd slideshow software like Ulead Pictureshow (http://www.ulead.com/dps/features.htm ) or Proshow Gold (http://www.photodex.com/eid7217/products/proshowgold/ ) . There are a lot of other programs out there that will do the same thing. Try a google search.
If it's a really old DVD player you may have problems but most newer models will play this format.
