I never use these because they seem to create more problems 
than they are supposed to fix.  If your registry is that messed 
up, you're probably better off reformatting.

To edit, I just do it the old way by "Run" then "regedit" and 
do it that way.  Before you do ANYTHING though, use ERUNT.  It 
will back up and restore your *ENTIRE* registry, which 
**includes all the hidden unknown support files**.  It's free. 
They also have a registry optimizer, but if it's as good as 
ERUNT, then maybe the optimizer is also good.

over 30Kb of material still to be removed.

After running both of them, when I looked at the
registry I thought that there was still a lot of material
that had been missed (empty folders, references to
programs that had been deleted etc.).  Between them,
I did not think they did a good job.
