I have a ZV5000 pavilion. Every once in a while, the unit will just shut off, the programs never close. When I turn it on, it takes a very long boot time. I never wait long enough, I just do a hard power down, then restart after it cools. The next time it starts fine.
I've noticed lately the fans seem to run a lot faster at times which makes me think this is a heat related issue, but maybe not. It never used to be like this. It's a big pain as the programs never close so my work is not saved. This laptop is about 2 years old. Does anyeone have any ideas?
