I keep Windows update turned on,and allow auto updates because it's safer that way. There's no doubt that MS screws up once in a while, and that hardware updates should be carefully examined, but I've found that most users would never update their systems at all otherwise.
For most people, that's the very best advice.
I understand where a power user like Clint is coming from, but he's the exception. I've seen far too many computers with no updates at all to worry about the occasional glitch.

After all, there must be another side to the story, but I can't see it -
especially after my experience last night.
