Hibernation is a feature that allows laptops to save battery power.
In Control Panel, go to power management and uncheck the Hibernate box,
then choose a power scheme appropriate to a desktop.
Delete the file C:/hiberfil.sys.
The BIOS is extremely cool, and everybody should look at it at least once.
Look for a "Setup" or BIOS option when the computer first boots up.

It's a desktop computer. This will be a new one for me as I never before
had to look at the BIOS in the l0 years that I've had 3 different
computers. I'll follow your instructions to the letter at the same time
creating a "restore point" before making any changes. Note that most of
the time I don't get those messages. --- Harold

Desktop or laptop?
You may need to make a change in the BIOS.
