I never had checked 0.40-2 in. It's checked in now (tag "stable_0_40_2") but now I worry that it's going to cause one or another patch to break. There was a byte order bug fix that I'm sure HC has already patched anyway. Also, "list length" has the new, "correct" behavior for non-list messages. I think that's all the difference between 0.40-1 and 0.40-2, so 0.40-1 is probably fine to use for Pd extended.
