Zexy's README.txt says: configure tries to set the CFLAGS to "-g -O2" if the compiler accepts this; however, this optimization sometimes generates binaries that cannot be loaded by pd; it seems that disabling the "unit-at-a-time" optimization (which gets enabled by "-O2") is the cause of this problem, turning it off might help This seems to be the case here.
