my current solution involves way too many Pd-internals (like accessing
the c_externdir member of the t_class structure)
Have a look at the source for [mrpeach/which] in svn. I took some code
from Pd internals and it calls some more, but maybe not _way_ too much.
What's missing from it is a way to know if a name refers to an internal.
