OK, So there might be a problem with vasp, or with my machine (more likely). There's no vasp in the old-pd-extended-binaries-GNULinux-i386.zip file, and Thomas' externals from the subversion repository (which are definitely being loaded) cause the fault. I tried Miller's new 0.42.4 version with vasp, and it did the same thing...
Verbose mode is quite painful! I found this: Thomas, any idea what is going on?
