This isn't a problem with windows XP, though. The order of formats in the open dialogue is as follows: - Pd files - Max patch files - Max text files - Max binary files - Max Help Files And the last format is the one that is always as standard choice. The choice of format doesn't get saved. That is, every time the dialogue appears, it's selected max help files.
