This will reproduce the issue:

Click on the message box.
Expected result: nothing (or is it supposed to set the value? If so, it's not
documented).
Observed result:
Error on the console:
value: no method for 'float'
Additionally, the error is not trackable, i.e. cannot be found by "Find last
error", which is especially hateful.
Untrackable errors should be erradicated from Pd completely.
