Is JACK running? > JACK: server returned status 17 which is meant to indicate that jackd is not running. for some time, Pd is not automatically starting jackd anymore (because it wouldn't properly shut down), so you have to do that manually. so when using Pd with jackd: - start jackd (e.g. using qjackctl) - then start Pd or do it the other way round. - finally, start DSP ghasdf IOhannes
