i just checked, and can confirm that *for me*- Pd-0.55-1 (as packaged in Debian) crashes with a channel count of 4 (blocksize 4096), resp 16 (blocksize 1024). - the current develop branch does not crash (as the double free has been fixed).
gfadmsr IOhannesso yes: we already have a fix; the problem with allocating on stack is orthogonal to the crash you are seeing (we/christof just noticed it while/when looking at the crashing code)
