is there something i can do to make the signal fade towards 1 and -1,
rather than just abruptly turning 90 degrees??
you could use waveshaping: a table where you draw (or generate) your
cliping function - so you can smooth the edges ...
(I think there are some waveshaping examples in the example files from
the help menu ...)
