well, I'm late in this thread but I don't know if you have already
talked here in the list about this great idea for realtime patchers
GUI:

Althought it's just for signal routing and don't represents control
connections, it seems to be very cool for real-time route changes,
that's what they call "rapid routing" (see section 6).

How did nobody thought that before? :D
