Why?
Having Pd implemented in Pd makes it a much more flexible and open
platform. You could easily make your own Pd window then, only using
Pd. Now, you have to learn Tcl/Tk and C, and the strange interface
between the two that Pd has.
Your own custom Pd window then could have things like Gem info,
framerate, render status, lighting status, etc.
