a "fix" would be to use the newest version of Gem (gem-0.40 is way too
old :-))
check out CVS (if you cannot compile, look at http://gem.iem.at for a
binary of a recent CVS-version).
I believe .040-1 means Pd-0.40-1-extended-2006-...
