This means that you are loading a Gem that is not included in the Pd- extended installer. The rc4 one would look something like this: GEM: Graphics Environment for Multimedia GEM: ver: 0.91-cvs GEM: compiled: Jul 19 2007 Sounds like you are using an old version of Gem. I you trash ~/ Library/Preferences/org.puredata.pd.plist, then it'll use the default embedded preferences, and load the internal versions of Gem and PDP. .hc > >> what does it say when creating the >> first [pix_movie] file (e.g. which libs is it using?) > > error: GEM: pix_movie: Couldn't open the movie file: 2_1.mov (-2020) > GEM: pix_film: Loaded file: /Volumes/one/derek/baruch/video/2_1.mov > with > 0 frames (0x0) > > This is all it says, unfortunately, even in -verbose mode. > >> can you try using one of the Gem-binaries found at http:// >> gem.iem.at ? > > Will do, be right back... > > d. > > -- > derek holzer ::: http://www.umatic.nl ::: http://blog.myspace.com/ > macumbista > ---Oblique Strategy # 201: > "What were the branch points in the evolution of this entity?" > > _______________________________________________ > [email protected] mailing list > UNSUBSCRIBE and account-management -> http://lists.puredata.info/ > listinfo/pd-list ------------------------------------------------------------------------ ---- You can't steal a gift.
