this won't work as well, unless you start pd from within speedtest/ . i
am actually quite happy about this example, because it illustrates well,
that 'open' relative to pd's startlocation doesn't usually make sense at
all (as i explained in numberous other threads).

path( so, that 'path' is relative to 'patch.pd'. this could be done
without breaking backwards compatibility by introducing a new argument:
[; pd patch.pd path 1(
as it was done for 'menuclose' message to canvas.
