I guess this has been like that for a long time, for a quick solution
GUI Number2 does not loose its connections if you define send or
receive target. But yes it would be nice to keep connections on
numberbox as well.

I am not sure when this feature was added, but when I want to use
"send"
for a numberbox it loses its connections. I think this is a bug, it
should still be possible to connect the numberbox by wire.
