it is possible using the glovepie mentioned by hard off. Here is a little
example of something recently done using
wii+glovepie->OSC->puredata+gem all in windows xp

in the FLISOL in medellin colombia (latin american free software
installation festival)

Using the wii to control a 3d light saber that was merged with the video of
the person holding the saber. The tracking was slow cause we used a lame
webcam, but it worked fine the whole day. Here a video if you wanna check
