USB 1.1 doesn't have enough bandwith for 8 inputs and additional outputs. Basically you're restricted to up to 8 x-puts at CD quality - as in 2 in/4 out, 4 in/4 out etc.) If you need more you need a firewire interface and deal with FFADO.
